CAIRO, September 20. /Dunyo IA/. With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Egypt, an online meeting was held between the leadership of the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Music, the Egyptian Academy of Arts, and the Higher Institute of Arabic Music, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities to further strengthen Uzbekistan–Egypt relations in the fields of culture and the arts, with particular emphasis on fostering institutional partnerships between music education institutions in both countries.

As a result of the negotiations, the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Music and the Higher Institute of Arabic Music reached an agreement to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The Egyptian Academy of Arts was established in 1959 with the mandate to promote artistic excellence, safeguard folk creativity and intangible cultural heritage, and strengthen regional and international cultural cooperation.

The Academy functions as Egypt’s premier state institution for higher arts education and encompasses several specialized institutes, including: The Higher Institute of Arabic Music, The Higher Institute of Music, The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, The Higher Institute of Folk Arts, The Higher Institute of Cinema, The Higher Institute of Ballet, The Higher Institute of Art Criticism.
