DUSHANBE, December 16. /Dunyo IA/. The Surkhandarya regional theater of musical drama and comedy is currently touring Tajikistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As part of the tour, the theater performed “Intrigue and Love” based on Friedrich Schiller’s work at the Tajik State Academic Drama Theater named after Abulkasim Lakhuti.

The audience included members of the Uzbek diaspora in Tajikistan, Uzbek students studying at Tajik universities, as well as representatives of Tajikistan’s art and cultural community.

The performance was met with great success and received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Following the performance, the heads and artists of the Academic Drama Theater of Tajikistan and the Surkhandarya Regional Theater delivered speeches, noting that the friendship policies promoted by the leaders of the two countries contribute to closer ties between nations, as demonstrated by the performance and numerous other joint events.
