Exhibition of Uzbek artists opens in Dubai

DUBAI, April 30. /Dunyo IA/. A vibrant cultural event capturing the attention of a wide audience took place in one of Dubai’s iconic cultural venues, initiated by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai with the active support of Uzbek expatriate and founder of Andakulova Gallery, Natalya Andakulova, as well as the Legends Art Club, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event featured the opening ceremony of an exhibition showcasing the works of renowned artist Timur Akhmedov, graduate of the Republican Specialized Art School in Tashkent Timur Davats, and talented sculptor Alfiz Sabirov.
Andakulova Gallery has been actively promoting Central Asian art in the United Arab Emirates for several years. It has become an important platform for introducing a wider audience to Uzbek art and has played a significant role in strengthening its presence on the international stage.
According to the organizers, the main goal of the exhibition is to present contemporary Uzbek art to a global audience and to reinforce Uzbekistan’s image as a key cultural hub in the region. The event also aims to increase interest in Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its rich heritage, and travel opportunities, while also serving as a platform for supporting creative initiatives of Uzbek nationals and enhancing the country’s image as a center of culture.
The opening ceremony was attended by heads of foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of international organizations, prominent journalists, public and political figures, as well as leaders of major tourism and investment companies and business circles.
In his welcoming remarks, the Consul General of Uzbekistan, Kamol Ikramov, warmly greeted the attendees and emphasized that the New Uzbekistan is confidently strengthening its position on the global stage. He spoke about the wide-ranging reforms initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, highlighting efforts to create favorable conditions for investors and the country’s growing potential in tourism, culture, and gastronomy.
Participants of the event highly praised Uzbekistan’s achievements in recent years, noting the country’s steady progress in reform and its enhanced international standing. Special attention was given to Uzbekistan’s open and constructive foreign policy and its initiatives aimed at regional stability and international cooperation. Many guests expressed strong interest in the country’s rich cultural heritage and its unique tourism opportunities.
The exhibition drew considerable public interest. Visitors were particularly captivated by paintings and sculptures that reflect global contemporary challenges and the dynamic transformations of human life.
