Poland to host large-scale screenings of Uzbek Films and TV Series

WARSAW, July 13. /Dunyo IA/.  Uzbek diplomats met with Roman Olma, Director General of the TVT television channel, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the wide promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism, cultural and historical potential among the Polish audience, strengthening the country's international image through national cinema production, and the possibility of broadcasting Uzbek feature films and TV series on the TVT channel.

During the negotiations, management of the television channel proposed the implementation of a cultural and cinematographic project in Poland, which involves screening Uzbek feature films and television series. At the initial stage of the project, plans are underway to translate into Polish, professionally dub and broadcast 10 feature films and 10 television series.

List of films proposed for screening includes: “Sunday” (Yakshamba), “2000 Songs of Farida”, “Hot Bread”, “Fortune” (Omad), “Ilhak”, “I am Jaloliddin”, “The Baron”, “Abdullajon”, “The Whole Mahalla is Talking About It” and “The Mischievous Boy” (Ozornik).

List of television series includes: “Patience” (Sabr), “The Street” (Ko'cha), “Zebo”, “Mother” (Ona), “Stars Shine Forever”, “Riding the Yellow Giant”, “Kodirkhon”, “The Test” (Sinchov), “The Secret Courtyard” and “Goodbye” (Alvido).

TVT television channel is considering providing technical support for the project, including translating the Uzbek cinematic productions into Polish, preparing the voiceover scripts and recording the final dubbing.
