TASHKENT, June 20. /Dunyo IA/. The Youth Forum for compatriots studying and working in the United States took place in Washington, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Held under the motto "Youth — the Foundation of the Future", the event focused on the role of young people in shaping the modern intellectual potential of Uzbekistan and their participation in the development of society and the state.

At the forum, Gulnoza Ismailova, Executive Director of the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation, provided a detailed overview of the foundation’s activities, support programs for students studying abroad, and career guidance mechanisms for their return to Uzbekistan.

A doctoral candidate at Harvard Medical School, Nilufar Kaharova, shared recommendations based on her personal research experience about the academic environment in the U.S. and opportunities available to young scientists

Director of the NGO "Digital Generation Uzbekistan", Azamot Jalolov, spoke about priorities in state youth policy, startups, innovations, and prospects for cooperation in digital technologies.

Participants included Uzbek students from leading universities across various U.S. states, compatriots working in international organizations, researchers, young professionals, and several young foreign guests.

The forum was conducted in an interactive and open format, fostering the exchange of opinions on issues important to youth, challenges across various fields, and possible solutions. Participants acknowledged the support provided by the Uzbek government to young people abroad, including through embassies and consulates, as well as the effectiveness of reforms underway in the country.

Malika Tuychibaeva, representative of the Uzbek Students Association organized by students at the University of Arizona, spoke about initiatives to familiarize young newcomers to the U.S. educational system with the local environment and help them adapt.

Initiated by the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in the U.S., the forum was highly praised as a platform for dialogue and idea exchange among youth and is planned to become an annual traditional event.
