GUIYANG, December 17. /Dunyo IA/. As part of a working visit of the Namangan Region delegation to China, the “Namangan – Guiyang” Trade, Economic, and Investment Forum was successfully held in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The forum was organized on the initiative of the Namangan Regional Administration, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China and the “Guizhou Huayu Group” company.

Speeches at the forum were delivered by Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov, Governor of Namangan Region; Farhod Arziyev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China; Zhu Fu, President of “Guizhou Huayu Group”; as well as Ms. Hua Yan, Deputy Chairperson of the prominent publishing house “China Economical and Trade Magazine”.

The event provided a comprehensive presentation of the wide-ranging reforms being implemented under the “New Uzbekistan” initiative, efforts to improve the investment climate, and the favorable conditions created for foreign investors. Detailed information was also shared about Namangan Region’s industrial, agricultural, logistics, energy, construction materials, pharmaceutical, and export potential, as well as its investment opportunities.

Forum participants highly appreciated the proposals and initiatives aimed at further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Namangan Region and Chinese companies, establishing joint ventures, introducing modern technologies, and enhancing export potential.

At the conclusion of the forum, eight investment contracts and agreements worth a total of 1.1 billion dollars were signed, covering the industrial, energy, construction, chemical, agro-industrial, and logistics sectors. The implementation of these projects is expected to create new jobs in Namangan Region, produce high value-added products, and further accelerate the development of the regional economy.

Participants expressed their readiness to systematically continue cooperation in the “Namangan – Guiyang” format and to elevate trade and economic relations between the two regions to a new level.
