Activities of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan draw Kuwaiti media attention

KUWAIT, March 24. /Dunyo IA/. An article dedicated to the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent has been published in the popular Kuwaiti online publication “Q8 Press”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that in the final days of the holy month of Ramadan, the capital of Uzbekistan hosted the solemn opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization, an institution of significant cultural and spiritual importance.

It is reported that the ceremony was attended by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with state and public figures, representatives of the scientific and creative intelligentsia, as well as international guests.

Publication further emphasizes that the event took place in the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan and concluded with a communal iftar that brought together representatives of different nationalities and faiths. This was highlighted as a vivid expression of the country’s policy of tolerance, mutual respect and openness.

The article places particular emphasis on the speech of the Head of State, in which the importance of humanistic values - such as mercy, compassion and kindness was underscored, along with the significance of supporting socially vulnerable segments of the population.

 

As noted, Center of Islamic Civilization, located within the Khazrati Imam complex in Tashkent, represents a unique architectural and spiritual ensemble. It is emphasized that its exhibitions encompass the historical development of the region, spanning from the pre-Islamic period to the present day.

Publication further indicates that one of the key sections of the Center is the Qur’an Hall, where the Qur’an of Uthman and rare manuscripts are displayed, with the exhibitions arranged using modern technologies.

It is noted that Center is equipped with a library, scientific infrastructure and facilities for international cooperation and that specialists from dozens of countries participated in its implementation.

In conclusion, the article emphasizes that this project reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to preserving its rich historical and cultural heritage, while strengthening its position on the international stage based on the principles of enlightenment, tolerance and mutual respect.
