DUSHANBE, November 5. /Dunyo IA/. “Avesta” Information Agency of Tajikistan has published an analytical article entitled “Security in the Field of AI – Through International Cooperation”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the international conference “Artificial Intelligence Security” will be held in Astana on November 6th, with the participation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It highlights that the introduction of AI increases labour productivity, reduces budget expenditures and improves the quality of public services. According to the agency, the global AI market could exceed $20 trillion by 2030, while the volume of AI-based services in Uzbekistan could reach $10 billion.
Article also focuses on cyber threats: over the past six years, the number of reports of cybercrime has increased 48-fold, while 82 percent of fraud cases in 2025 were committed in the digital environment. An AI-based system developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Bank helped prevent the illicit withdrawal of 29 trillion soums and block more than 18,800 suspicious bank cards in the first half of 2026. The article also examines the pressure on energy and water resources, as well as workforce training, including the “Five Million AI Leaders” project.
In conclusion, publication emphasizes that AI security is not confined to national borders and requires coordination among countries. According to the agency, the upcoming conference in Astana should put forward proposals for interstate cooperation.
