Popular Pakistani TV Channel “Discover Pakistan” airs documentary film on the history of Uzbek football

ISLAMABAD, July 11. /Dunyo IA/. A documentary film titled “Uzbek Football: A story of dreams, patience and pride” was broadcast on Pakistan's popular state television channel "Discover Pakistan," reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The film, with a duration of over one hour, was aired twice - on July 5 and 6 this year. Through the documentary, Pakistani viewers became thoroughly acquainted with the century-long history of the formation and development of football in Uzbekistan, in the very year when the country's national team secured its historic first-ever qualification for the FIFA World Cup.
As noted in the film, the qualification of the national team of Uzbekistan for the World Cup is not only a significant sporting achievement but also a historic opportunity to return to the origins of Uzbek football, to remember the individuals, teams, and pivotal events that have shaped its development for over a hundred years.
Documentary film “Uzbek Football: A story of dreams, patience and pride” chronicles the journey of Uzbek football - from the first matches of the early 20th century to the country's qualification for the FIFA World Cup—while also preserving for future generations the stories of the people who contributed to the development of this sport.
Heroes of the film were legendary Uzbek football players, current players of the national team of Uzbekistan, coaches, referees, sports executives, journalists, and football history researchers. The film allows viewers to see the history of Uzbek football through the eyes of the people who created it
