LONDON, October 13. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, in cooperation with the British tour operator “Wild Frontiers”, is conducting an information campaign to promote the winter tourism potential of the country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Special materials under the slogan “Spend winter in the land of Silk Road treasures” have been published for the company's broad audience on social media networks, aiming to attract British travellers to Uzbekistan during the cold season.
Initiative is designed to promote the country as a year-round tourist destination, rather than a place for travel only in spring and autumn.
In its publications, “Wild Frontiers” emphasizes the special atmosphere of Uzbekistan in winter. According to the company's description, Silk Road takes on a unique charm during this time: snow covers the ancient blue-tiled cities, Eastern bazaars become quieter and traditional hospitality remains unchanged.
British tourists are offered the opportunity to explore the historical and architectural heritage of Uzbekistan, the natural landscapes of various regions, deserts, traditional markets and national cuisine. Special emphasis is placed on the opportunity to experience local culture through visiting bazaars and discovering Uzbek hospitality in domestic settings.
Campaign is designed to diversify the tourist flow across seasons, increase the number of international guests during winter and strengthen Uzbekistan's position in the global tourism market.
Development of winter tourism is also expected to stimulate demand for hotels, transport, catering establishments, handicrafts and other tourist services, thereby supporting industry activity throughout the entire year.
