OMSK, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Aslam Akbarov visited Omsk Emergency Hospital No. 1 yesterday, where two Uzbek citizens injured in a fire on August 15 in Omsk’s Kvartaly Dravert neighborhood are being treated, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the attending physician on duty, Uzbek citizen I.Z. has been transferred to the burn intensive care unit. His condition is serious, and he has been placed on assisted mechanical ventilation. The second citizen, O.E., is currently in the intensive care unit of the purulent-septic department. His condition is serious.

The doctors are currently holding online consultations with their colleagues in Moscow, as the case has attracted significant attention and the Russian side attaches great importance to the rehabilitation of all those injured in the fire.

The Consul General will also meet with the chief physician of Omsk Emergency Hospital No. 1, the heads of the burn and purulent-septic departments, as well as the head of the hospital’s medical service.

The matter remains under the special control of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.
