Currently, the center holds 48 Uzbek citizens who were detained during recent “Illegal” raids. In addition, two compatriots are under investigation and held for extended periods in connection with alleged offenses under various articles of the Criminal Code of Russia.
Diplomats also met with the Uzbeks temporarily held at the facility, providing clarifications on the procedures for administrative liability for violations of Russian migration laws and subsequent deportation by court decision.
During the meeting, it was revealed that most of the Uzbek citizens were placed in the facility due to the expiration of their work permits (patents). In this regard, the compatriots requested assistance for their prompt return to Uzbekistan.
Following the visit, agreements were reached with the center’s management to consider and facilitate the repatriation of Uzbek citizens to their homeland.
