TOMSK, August 15. /Dunyo IA/. Aslam Akbarov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk, conducted another on-site consular reception for compatriots temporarily engaged in labour activities within the Tomsk Region of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the importance of our citizens' compliance with the laws and regulations of the host country was emphasized, along with the necessity to immediately contact the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in the event of any violation of their rights to ensure a prompt resolution of emerging problems.

Attention of our fellow citizens was drawn to the readiness of the General Consulate to continue providing any necessary assistance, both in issuing the required documents and in protecting their rights and freedoms within the Tomsk Region.

Compatriots noted that their continuous contact with the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk significantly contributes to the prevention of violations, particularly in the sphere of Russia's migration legislation.

During the consular reception, certain issues of our compatriots were also resolved on the spot. In particular, this included the payment of wages by an unscrupulous employer, as well as working with the competent authorities of the Tomsk Region to secure the swift release of two Uzbek citizens held at the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens in this region of Russia.
