SAINT PETERSBURG, October 21. /Dunyo IA/. Erkinboy Mamanazarov, Deputy Director of the Uzbek Cultural Center at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, extended his congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the Uzbek Language Day, celebrated on October 21st, in an interview with Dunyo IA:
- Dear compatriots, dear friends!
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on October 21st – Uzbek Language Day!
I have been living in Saint Petersburg since 2014. I teach Chinese at the university and also run a conversational club at the Uzbek Cultural Center for everyone interested in learning the Uzbek language. Both Russian students and young people from various countries around the world participate in our sessions.
Based on my own experience, I can see that interest in the Uzbek language has grown noticeably in recent years. I develop study guides for learners of the Uzbek language and publish them on digital book platforms. Every year, the number of people purchasing my books and leaving reviews increases.
Every kind word and question I receive from readers serves as clear evidence that the Uzbek language is finding its admirers abroad as well.
Today, Uzbek language is becoming special not only for us but also for many foreigners who study it and develop a deep appreciation for it. I am proud to make my own, albeit modest, contribution to the popularization of our native language worldwide.
Happy Uzbek Language Day!
