KUWAIT CITY, December 17. /Dunyo IA/. The Uzbek Food Festival was held at the Sultan Center hypermarket in Kuwait, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Sultan Center is one of the leading supermarket chains in Kuwait and the region, operating since 1981. Today, the company has over 70 outlets in Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, and Bahrain, serving millions of customers. In 2024, the company’s annual revenue exceeded USD 600 million.

A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, domestic exporters, deputy khokims of the Fergana and Samarkand regions, and the khokim of the Bakhmal district traveled to Kuwait to participate in the festival. The Kuwaiti side was represented by the executive directors of Sultan Center and Majdi Food hypermarkets.

During the festival, more than 20 leading Uzbek exporters presented over 200 types of products, including meat products, fresh and dried fruits, food concentrates, spices, and confectionery.

Retail orders for the export of Uzbek products through Sultan Center were accepted during the event. Discussions were held with the management of Sultan Center and Majdi Food regarding the introduction of Uzbek products to the Kuwaiti market. An agreement was also reached with the City HyperMarket retail chain to hold the next festival in 2026.

Additionally, an agreement was concluded with the company UVARO to open a store in Kuwait selling Uzbek products.

The organization of the festival represents another important step in showcasing Uzbekistan’s agricultural potential and export capabilities to the global market.
