GATCHINA, June 26. /Dunyo IA/.    On the initiative of the General Consulate of Uzbekistan and with the assistance of the Administration of the Leningrad Oblast, the feature film “O‘zbek qizi” (“Uzbek Woman”) is being broadcast on regional television channels to commemorate the 81^st anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Timed to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, which is observed in Russia on June 22, the film was broadcast on the television channels “LenTV24”, “VGTRK”, “Kirishi”, “TERA-studio” and “Syas-TV”.

According to the organizers, the film screenings received a highly positive response from the audience. The viewers noted that this initiative contributes to strengthening the prestige of the people of Uzbekistan, who made a significant contribution to the common victory over fascism and sheltered hundreds of thousands of evacuated people during the war years.
