Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Discussed Middle East Situation with Counterparts from 12 Countries

TASHKENT, March 3. /Dunyo IA/. Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is undertaking active diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting de-escalation and advancing political-diplomatic mechanisms for conflict resolution, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
In this context, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a series of phone conversations with:
- Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi;
- Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan, Foreign Minister, and Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar;
- Prime Minister of Qatar and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani;
- Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah;
- Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamood Albusaidi;
- Deputy Prime Minister of Jordan and Foreign Minister for Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi;
- Foreign Minister of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani;
- Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov;
- Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan;
- Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud;
- Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain José Manuel Albares Bueno;
- Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi.
During the discussions, the parties exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East and its potential regional implications, as well as on current developments along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border. They emphasized the importance of restraint, preventing further escalation, and intensifying diplomatic efforts.
Special attention was given to the necessity of strictly upholding the principles of state sovereignty and territorial integrity, adhering to international law, strengthening confidence-building measures, and addressing all emerging challenges exclusively through peaceful, political-diplomatic means. In several conversations, messages of solidarity, support, and sympathy from the President of Uzbekistan were conveyed to the leadership and peoples of the respective countries.
