TASHKENT, October 19. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed the Artemis Accords in Samarkand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Following our bilateral talks, together with H.E. Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State, we signed the Artemis Accords, which set out the principles of cooperation in the peaceful exploration and use of the Moon, Mars, comets and asteroids, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel - This document opens up new opportunities for Uzbekistan to expand cooperation with NASA and the space agencies of other participating countries, train national specialists and facilitate the transfer of space technologies.

Uzbekistan became the 77th country to sign the Artemis Accords”.
