TASHKENT, November 4. /Dunyo IA/.  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Alexander Zuev, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Glad to meet H.E. Alexander Zuev, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism today at the Ministry, - Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. - During the meeting, we discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations, particularly in countering terrorism and extremism.

Particular attention was paid to the consistent implementation of the tasks outlined in the bilateral Roadmap, Uzbekistan’s experience in the rehabilitation and reintegration of citizens, as well as proposals and initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation.

Also exchanged views on regional security, promoting religious tolerance and fostering intercultural dialogue”.
