Citizens of Uzbekistan are increasingly travelling abroad

TASHKENT, August 18. /Dunyo IA/. In January–July 2026, 4.4 million citizens of Uzbekistan travelled abroad for tourism purposes, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Compared with the corresponding period of 2025, the number of tourist trips abroad increased by 45.6 thousand.
According to the National Statistics Committee, neighbouring Central Asian countries ranked highest in terms of the number of visits. In particular, during the seven months of this year, the countries most visited by citizens of Uzbekistan were:
Kyrgyzstan - 1,981,542 people;
Kazakhstan - 805,437;
Tajikistan — 744,974;
Russia - 222,605;
Saudi Arabia - 167,337;
Türkiye - 166,893;
United Arab Emirates - 47,020;
China - 43,581;
Egypt - 32,470;
Vietnam - 28,224 people.
According to experts, the statistics indicate that citizens of Uzbekistan continue to show a high level of interest in travelling abroad. At the same time, the geography of travel is gradually expanding beyond neighbouring Central Asian countries and Russia to include popular tourist destinations in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Increase in the overall number of trips abroad confirms the expansion of the population’s tourism mobility and the strengthening of Uzbekistan’s international tourism ties.
