FRANKFURT AM MAIN, October 13. /Dunyo IA/. A new group of 50 Uzbek citizens has arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany to take up employment in the transport sector as part of an ongoing bilateral labor mobility project initiated by the German educational center "Stiftung Bildung & Handwerk" (SBH), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Following agreements reached with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main, the German educational center "Stiftung Bildung & Handwerk" (SBH) and the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan have arranged for program participants to be employed in Germany’s transport industry.
Before their departure to Germany, participants of the program completed intensive preparatory courses that included German language training, familiarization with German labor legislation, traffic regulations, and safety standards. Additionally, they successfully validated their professional licenses in accordance with the requirements set forth by German employers.
The group arrived at Düsseldorf International Airport, where Uzbek diplomats and representatives of the German educational center "Stiftung Bildung & Handwerk" (SBH) warmly received the labor migrants. This cordial reception underscores the strong bilateral cooperation and the ongoing commitment to supporting Uzbek citizens working abroad.
During the meeting, diplomats provided the compatriots with detailed guidance on employment and living arrangements, while extending their best wishes for a successful start to their professional endeavors in Germany.
Such initiatives are conducted on a regular basis and aim to ensure the legal and social support of Uzbek citizens arriving in the Federal Republic of Germany for employment.
The SBH project stands as a successful example of practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of organized labor migration.
It facilitates the exchange of expertise, enhances the professional skills of Uzbek specialists, and strengthens business ties between enterprises in both countries.
In the near future, there are plans to expand employment programs in Germany to include other high-demand sectors such as industry, agriculture, and services.
In recent years, Germany has emerged as one of the primary destinations for labor migration from Uzbekistan. The increasing presence of Uzbek workers in German cities is linked to workforce shortages in several sectors of the German economy, alongside the active development of intergovernmental agreements on labor cooperation.
According to the Federal Employment Agency of Germany, the country requires hundreds of thousands of foreign specialists and workers annually. The highest demand is observed in sectors such as logistics, elderly care, construction, agriculture, and the service industry.
Uzbekistan, where the youth are actively seeking stable and legal employment opportunities abroad, has emerged as one of Germany’s new strategic partners in this sphere.
For Uzbekistan, cooperation with Germany in the field of labor migration represents not only an opportunity for employment of its citizens but also a pathway to enhancing workforce qualifications, transferring European standards of professional training, and improving occupational health and safety.
