Inter-Parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary discussed in Belgrade

BELGRADE, June 3. /Dunyo IA/. Within the framework of the Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva held a meeting in the Serbian capital with Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Agnes Forsthoffer, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the upper house of Parliament, the talks focused on further developing the multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary, strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, and promoting mutually beneficial initiatives.
The sides noted the steady progress in relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing the existing potential.
An exchange of views also took place on enhancing dialogue between the parliaments, expanding cooperation between inter-parliamentary friendship groups, developing collaboration among young parliamentarians, and strengthening interregional partnerships.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairperson of the Senate invited representatives of the Hungarian Parliament to participate in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which is scheduled to be held on September 4–6 this year in Samarkand.
