JIZZAKH, November 7. /Dunyo IA/.   Representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Uzbekistan familiarized themselves with major industrial and investment projects in the Jizzakh region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of events organized to further develop Uzbekistan’s economic diplomacy, the guests directly studied the activities of the region's leading manufacturing enterprises, as well as discussed prospects for implementing joint projects and expanding business ties.

During a visit to “BYD Uzbekistan Factory” JV LLC, located in the “Jizzakh” Free Economic Zone, the diplomats familiarized themselves with the manufacturing process of BYD vehicles. The enterprise's production capacity stands at 50,000 electric vehicles per year. Currently, more than 1,200 people are employed there.

According to the Counsellor of the Embassy of China, enterprise established with the participation of Chinese entrepreneurs is of great importance not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the development of the modern automotive industry in other countries.

Foreign diplomats also familiarized themselves with the activities of “BMB–NRC Agrologistics” JV LLC. Agro-logistics complex, located on an area of 40 hectares in the Sharof Rashidov district, has a processing capacity of 267 thousand tons of agricultural products.

Ambassador of Belarus Alexander Ogorodnikov noted that thanks to cooperation between Presidents of Uzbekistan and Belarus, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko, mutually beneficial joint projects are being consistently implemented. Initiatives in the fields of crop production and animal husbandry are of particular importance in this regard.

Guests were also deeply impressed by a tour of one of the region's largest industrial enterprises – “ADM Jizzakh” LLC, which specializes in the production of passenger cars.

As representatives of the enterprise reported, it was established within the framework of an investment project worth 74 million dollars. Currently, Kia, Chery and Haval brand vehicles are manufactured here. The enterprise accounts for 36 percent of the region's gross regional product.

In addition, the guests visited “Master Bilding Products” LLC, which specializes in the production of building materials. Currently, the enterprise manufactures 78 types of self-tapping screws, 10 types of tufted products, and 3 types of polypropylene yarn. In 2025, products worth 70 billion soums were manufactured here, and the export volume amounted to $1.4 million.

“During this visit, we had the opportunity not only to familiarize ourselves in detail with the activities of major enterprises in the Jizzakh region, but also to hold negotiations with local entrepreneurs on the implementation of joint projects. Furthermore, we exchanged views with colleagues from diplomatic missions of other countries on the prospects for expanding mutual cooperation”, noted Ambassador of Slovakia Viktor Borecky.

Foreign diplomats also visited “Iruskon” LLC, where they familiarized themselves with the confectionery production process.

According to representatives of the enterprise, within the framework of an investment project worth $15 million, capacities have been established here to produce 12 thousand tons of confectionery products per year across 100 product items. The enterprise has created 350 jobs and its export volume stands at $2 million.

Today, foreign diplomats will continue their familiarization with the industrial and investment projects of the Arnasay district of the Jizzakh region.
