MUSCAT, August 13. /Dunyo IA/.  A delegation of “IT Park Uzbekistan” visited Oman, where it held negotiations with representatives of government organizations and companies on the development of cooperation in the field of information technology and innovation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman, Oman Investment Authority, as well as local technology companies.

The sides discussed cooperation within the framework of the “Land of Startups” program of IT Park Uzbekistan, the promotion of Uzbek startups to the Omani market and the organization of a joint business mission.

Particular attention was paid to interaction in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and robotics, as well as the exchange of experience in startup incubation and acceleration.

In addition, the participants considered the possibility of establishing “SPV”s (Special Purpose Vehicles) or joint ventures to set up regional headquarters of companies in Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue working on practical mechanisms of cooperation. The Omani side was invited to participate in the “ICT Week” event, which will be held in Tashkent on September 22–25^th.
