ТАSHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a telephone conversation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, National Leader of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and great success, and peace and prosperity for the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.
He also conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that, thanks to the tireless efforts and far-sighted policies of the President of Uzbekistan, the country is reaching new heights and demonstrating significant progress in the socio-economic and political spheres.
During the conversation, parties considered current issues related to strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the context of the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
The growing momentum of multifaceted cooperation, grounded in the principles of mutual trust and consideration of shared interests, was noted with deep satisfaction.
Active contacts continue at all levels. The fruitful outcomes of the recent political consultations in Ashgabat were widely praised.
Mutual trade and freight volumes are growing rapidly. The effective operation of the Shavat – Dashoguz trade zone is also contributing to increased bilateral trade.
Cooperation projects in energy, industry, agriculture, water management, and transportation are being successfully implemented. The importance of expanding interparliamentary, interregional, business, cultural and humanitarian exchanges was emphasized.
Particular attention was given to coordinating and advancing the regional agenda, including preparations for the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, scheduled for Avaza this autumn.
