Representatives of U.S. Company to Visit Uzbekistan to Develop Cooperation on H-2A Visas

TASHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/. Todd Miller, President of the American company “Head Honchos,” will visit Uzbekistan in August this year to discuss cooperation under the H-2A seasonal agricultural visa program, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The visit has been organized as part of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States’ efforts to expand opportunities for the country’s citizens to obtain legal employment in the United States and to simplify participation in the H-2A program.
During the visit, the parties plan to discuss the recruitment of Uzbek citizens for seasonal work in the U.S. agricultural sector and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Head Honchos.
The document provides for workforce training in accordance with the requirements of American employers, professional training for candidates, and expanded opportunities for obtaining legal employment in the United States under the H-2A visa.
The program of the American delegation’s visit includes trips to Tashkent, as well as the Bukhara and Fergana regions, where company representatives will familiarize themselves with the activities of agricultural enterprises, farms, and industry participants.
The Embassy noted that cooperation under the H-2A program is aimed at improving employment procedures for Uzbek citizens in the United States and creating additional opportunities for safe and lawful seasonal employment.
It is worth recalling that since the beginning of this year, a 30-day visa-free regime has been introduced for U.S. citizens entering Uzbekistan.
