Congratulations from Islamabad: Development of the National Language is inextricably linked to the flourishing of national culture

ISLAMABAD, October 27. /Dunyo IA/.  Lecturer at the Department of the Uzbek Language of the National University of Modern Languages in Islamabad Saniya Iskanova, in an interview with Dunyo IA, congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the Uzbek Language Day:

- Assalomu alaykum, dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on the Uzbek Language Day, celebrated on October 21st.

Language is not merely a means of communication. It is the historical memory of a nation, its spiritual power, national thinking, and self-awareness. In this sense, the acquisition of the status of the state language by the Uzbek language should be viewed as an important historical event on the path toward realizing national identity, preserving historical values and strengthening the principles of national statehood.

This status confers upon us not only a sense of pride but also a tremendous responsibility. After all, the prestige of the state language is determined not only by its legally enshrined status but also by its wide application in education, science, public administration, diplomacy and the information space.

This task holds a special spiritual and cultural significance for the Department of the Uzbek Language at the National University of Modern Languages, operating far from Uzbekistan – in Islamabad, on the soil of Pakistan. Teaching the Uzbek language here is not limited to studying words and grammatical rules. It is an opportunity to introduce the world to the rich history of Uzbekistan, its great scholars, literature, culture and modern development, as well as to make a spiritual contribution to strengthening friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

As an Uzbek language lecturer and a compatriot, I consider loyalty to the native language as loyalty to national identity and its development as a responsibility to future generations. Wherever we live and in whichever country we work, respect for our native language must always remain in our hearts.

Indeed, the development of the national language is inextricably linked to the flourishment of national culture and its strengthening to the spiritual power and international prestige of our people.

Dear compatriots! Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on the Uzbek Language Day! May our native language always resonate proudly throughout the world!
