ТASHKENT, April 15. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Javokhir Sindarov, the winner of the International Chess Federation’s Candidates Tournament, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, Leader of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated the young grandmaster on his victory and on achieving a truly historic result at this prestigious competition.

During the conversation, it was noted that Javokhir Sindarov reached a previously unattainable level at this tournament and that his victories in 6 of 14 games were a unique phenomenon in the world of sports.

Head of State emphasized that in games against the world’s strongest chess players, the young grandmaster played boldly and skillfully, demonstrating strong will, high intellectual potential and determination.

Noting that a decisive and prestigious match for the world chess crown now lies ahead for Javokhir Sindarov, the Head of State wished him even greater success, strength, energy, and new victories in the upcoming matches.
