COPENHAGEN, April 15. /Dunyo IA/. A “Turkic Peoples' Culture Evening” was held at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of this event, the “O'zbek tashabbuslari” (“Uzbek Initiatives”) Association - an organization of the Uzbek diaspora operating in Denmark - organized a stand presentation titled “Culture and Art of Uzbekistan”.

“We held this exhibition with the support of the “Vatandosh” Public Fund, Embassy of our country in Stockholm and “Hunarmand” Association”, - said the organizer and head of the association, Marifat Akbarova.

At the event, which brought together representatives of the Danish public, university professors, teachers, and students, the history, language and culture of Uzbekistan were discussed.

In the creative part of the evening, activists from the “O'zbek tashabbuslari” Association, Marifat Akbarova and Zulfizar Akhmedova, organized a creative masterclass on porcelain and ceramic painting (decorative ceramics) based on Uzbek national patterns.

“Through such masterclasses, we demonstrated to the Danes the rich and diverse heritage of Uzbek national craftsmanship, art and culture”, - noted the diaspora representatives.
