CAIRO, May 13. /Dunyo IA/. The Egyptian news agency “Sada Elbalad English” has published an article dedicated to the upcoming 65^th International Flower Festival, which will traditionally take place in Namangan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication highlights the rich history of the region, the festival's significance for the cultural life of Uzbekistan and the extensive program of the milestone anniversary event.

It is noted that the International Flower Festival was first held in Namangan in 1961 as a small exhibition of local florists, and today it has evolved into one of the country's largest international cultural events. After gaining international status in 2018, the festival began attracting an increasing number of foreign guests and participants.

The Namangan festival expects around 1 million foreign tourists from over 50 countries this year, with total attendance projected to exceed 7 million. Over nearly 50 days, the city will host more than 150 cultural, scientific, sports and entertainment events.

Particular attention in the publication is paid to the plans to register the festival in the Guinness Book of World Records. Currently, large-scale flower planting is underway in the city, with the process being monitored by representatives from “Guinness World Records” in accordance with international standards.

It is also reported that about 5 million seasonal flowers already decorate the streets of Namangan. The festival program includes gala concerts, drone shows, a car parade, open-air symphony performances, fashion shows, gastronomic festivals, sports tournaments and international conferences.

The authors of the article emphasize that the International Flower Festival has become not only a symbol of Namangan’s beauty and hospitality, but also an important platform for tourism development, international cultural exchange and strengthening the image of Uzbekistan on the world stage.
