TASHKENT, June 8. /Dunyo IA/. The Chairperson of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Anti-Corruption and Judicial Affairs Abdulkhakim Eshmuradov participated in the parliamentary elections held in Armenia on June 7 as part of the observer mission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Information Service of Senate, the senator familiarized himself with the preparations for and conduct of the elections. On election day, he visited several polling stations in Yerevan, directly observed the voting process, and studied the work of election commissions, voting procedures, and the conditions created for voters.

As part of the international observer mission, he also took part in a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan. The discussions focused on ongoing reforms to improve electoral legislation, the conduct of the election campaign, conditions provided for political parties, and the specifics of the electoral process.

He further held talks with the Chairman of the Administrative Court of Armenia, Karen Zarikyan, exchanging views on legal issues arising during the electoral campaign, practices in handling election-related complaints, and the role of judicial bodies in protecting citizens’ electoral rights.
