ТASHKENT, December 22. /Dunyo IA/. The next session of the meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan was held, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the session was attended by Saidmukhtor Saidkasimov, Chairman of the Public Council, Bakhramjon Aloev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as representatives of civil society institutions, experts in international relations and members of the media.
During the session, an overview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ activities over the past period of the current year was presented. The main results of the Ministry’s work were summarized, noting that Uzbekistan’s open, pragmatic and proactive foreign policy continues to be implemented consistently, while the country’s international authority and image on the global stage are steadily strengthening.
Particular attention was paid to the development of economic diplomacy. Information was provided on the Ministry’s activities and those of Uzbekistan’s overseas diplomatic missions in areas such as attracting foreign investment, enhancing export potential, promoting domestic products on international markets, engaging with regions and addressing labor migration and tourism issues.
In addition, the session featured an open and constructive dialogue on current regional and global issues. During the interactive exchange with civil society representatives, proposals and recommendations were put forward aimed at further improving Uzbekistan’s foreign policy activities.
Following the discussions, suggestions were made to strengthen Uzbekistan’s positive image abroad, increase public engagement in foreign policy processes and develop international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
As a result of the session, the “Practical Action Plan” of the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan for 2026 was approved.
