TASHKENT, July 24. /Dunyo IA/. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has organized the first global online forum, bringing together the country’s honorary consuls operating in various states around the world, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, honorary consuls accredited to foreign countries, representatives of the Tourism Committee, as well as the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to strengthening interaction with honorary consuls, promoting economic diplomacy, attracting foreign investment, developing trade and economic cooperation and expanding the country’s tourism potential.

Participants exchanged views on developing trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as promoting the investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, it was proposed to establish a permanent dialogue and periodically hold informal online meetings. The majority of participants supported the initiative to hold the traditional annual meeting of honorary consuls of Uzbekistan in June 2027 within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
