Enhancing the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy in the focus of Chinese media

BEIJING, January 9. /Dunyo IA/. The Chinese publication VICTWO has published an article titled “Why Is the “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy Being Enhanced?”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The article notes that the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy is a key policy document defining the country’s medium- and long-term development priorities. It encapsulates the overall logic of reforms, priority objectives, and practical mechanisms for building a New Uzbekistan.

According to the author, Uzbekistan has achieved significant progress in recent years in socio-economic development, public administration, the protection of human rights, and the strengthening of civil society institutions. In this process, the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy has played an important system-forming role. At the same time, public life and global processes are in constant flux. New economic conditions, technological changes, and transformations in the international arena pose new challenges for public policy, the publication writes.

“In this context, there is an objective need to enhance the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy, taking into account real conditions, the current needs of the population, and the demands of the time”, - the Chinese magazine emphasizes.

The article underlines that the renewed strategy is based on a key idea put forward by the Head of State: “It is not the people who should serve state bodies, but state bodies that should serve the people”. In its updated version, the strategy gives this principle practical substance and is aimed at continuing the country’s development through a more effective, results-oriented, and accountable governance system.

It is reported that particular attention is paid to ensuring that the strategy is clear and vitally important for every individual. The updated Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy is being designed so that everyone can clearly see the tangible benefits it brings to their lives, their families, and the future of their children. The focus is not on general slogans, but on concrete changes felt in everyday life.

Special emphasis is also placed on aligning all strategic documents for the development of sectors, industries, and regions with the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy. This is intended to ensure the integrity, coherence, and effectiveness of public policy.

According to the Chinese publication, one of the key fundamental principles is the development of the strategy through broad public consultations. In line with instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan voiced during his recent Address to Parliament and the nation, the draft strategy has been submitted for public discussion in order to receive substantive and practice-oriented proposals from citizens, the expert community, and civil society institutions. Only a document that reflects public opinion and the real needs of citizens can be truly viable and effective.

“Thus, the enhancement of the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy represents a consistent, open, and responsible process aimed at deepening reforms, adapting them to the demands of the time, and increasing their practical impact on people’s lives. Above all, the strategy is being shaped as a nationwide development program primarily serving the well-being of the people”, - VICTWO concludes.
