LONDON, September 22. /Dunyo IA/.  Prestigious British daily newspaper “The Financial Times” published an interview with former World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, in which he predicted Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov to defeat reigning World Champion and Indian chess player Gukesh Dommaraju in the upcoming match, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The World Championship Match will be held in Geneva from November 24^th to December 12^th.

Magnus Carlsen named Javokhir Sindarov a clear favourite and noted his strong chances of victory. According to the Norwegian grandmaster, Gukesh Dommaraju has recently lacked confidence and tends to overestimate his positions, which could negatively affect his play.

Norwegian chess player also mentioned the ongoing 46^th Chess Olympiad in Samarkand and Gukesh Dommaraju’s successful performance at the event, where he has scored 4.5 points out of a possible 5.
