KUALA LUMPUR, September 29. /Dunyo IA/.   A delegation of the National News Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA) visited Kuala Lumpur, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the visit, UzA representatives participated in the Malaysia International Halal Showcase MIHAS-2026, organized at the initiative of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), which was attended by more than 50 thousand visitors from 58 countries.

Activities of the participants, as well as the Uzbek pavilion and national products presented with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, were widely covered within the framework of the exhibition's media center operations.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoev, in an interview with the “Bernama” Information Agency, noted that expanding cooperation in the halal industry will allow for more effective utilization of existing opportunities to develop trade and economic ties between Central and Southeast Asia and to strengthen food security.

Furthermore, the Uzbek delegation visited the headquarters of the Malaysian national news agency “Bernama”.

During the meeting, representatives of the two agencies agreed to strengthen cooperation, including through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

“Bernama” was founded in 1967 and is the sole news agency in Malaysia possessing the exclusive right to disseminate information among foreign media outlets.
