Uzbekistan participates in the 69th session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space

VIENNA, June 16. /Dunyo IA/. The 69th session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) is underway in Vienna, with a delegation from the “Uzbekcosmos” Agency taking part in its work, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the event, the delegation of Uzbekistan is presenting the country’s achievements in the space sector, as well as initiatives to develop international cooperation.
The presentation of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2028), which will be held in Samarkand for the first time in the history of Central Asia, took place within the framework of the session.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that Uzbekistan will host the 7th UN International Space4Water Conference in the spring of 2027, focusing on the application of space technologies in water resource management.
It was noted that Uzbekistan’s active participation in the work of COPUOS contributes to strengthening the country’s position in the global space community, developing new international partnerships and promoting national space programs at the global level.
