Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Palau

ТASHKENT, September 26. /Dunyo IA/. Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with Gustav Aitaro, Minister of State of the Palau in New York, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

"Glad to meet with the Minister of State of Palau H.E. Gustav Aitaro, - wrote Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on his official telegram-channel. - Together we marked a historic moment with the signing of a Joint communique establishing diplomatic relations between our nations.
This milestone not only reflects our mutual goodwill but also opens the door to a promising future of cooperation and partnership.
We look forward to exploring new opportunities and building strong, lasting ties between Uzbekistan and Palau".
The island archipelago state in Micronesia, located in the western Pacific Ocean, has become the 164th country with which Uzbekistan has established diplomatic relations.
It is recalled that on September 10, 2025, Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Saint Lucia, an island state situated in the eastern Caribbean Sea.
