CHANGWON, October 28. /Dunyo IA/. For the first time, Uzbekistan participated as the Guest of Honour at the international multicultural festival “Migrants Arirang Multicultural Festival” (MAMF-2026), which was held in the South Korean city of Changwon, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the festival, Uzbekistan presented its national culture, art, and tourism potential. A special cultural program featuring Uzbek creative ensembles and performers attracted the particular attention of the audience.

“Tumor” dance ensemble, “Navo” ensemble of the Jizzakh Region Philharmonic and other artists presented national dances, samples of maqom, and traditional music. Joint performances by Uzbek and South Korean artists highlighted the cultural closeness of the two peoples and the strengthening of friendly ties between the countries.

Collaborative performances by the artists of Uzbekistan and South Korea became a vivid embodiment of the festival's core ideas – “a single world” and “cultural diversity”.

National pavilion, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea in cooperation with compatriots in Changwon, showcased national costumes, handicrafts, examples of gold embroidery, wood carving and sericulture.

Visitors were also presented with photographic and video materials showcasing the historic cities of Uzbekistan, architectural monuments and the country's tourism routes.

Participation in MAMF-2026 provided an opportunity for Uzbekistan to expand the international promotion of its national cultural heritage and tourism destinations, as well as to strengthen humanitarian cooperation, mutual understanding and friendly relations with South Korea.
