Uzbek Artisans plan to participate in International Week in London

LONDON, August 13. /Dunyo IA/. Facilitated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, an online meeting was held with the participation of Rasuljon Mirzaakhmedov, Chairman of the “Hunarmand” Association, Ariane Ankarcrona-Cain, representative of the “London Craft Week” organizing committee and Shahina Mirjonova, Ambassador of Uzbek Culture to the United Kingdom, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, opportunities for the participation of Uzbek artisans in the international “London Craft Week”, scheduled to take place in London on May 11–17th, 2027, were discussed.
Participants exchanged views on the issues of popularizing the rich craft traditions of Uzbekistan, widely presenting specimens of national applied art on the international arena, as well as organizing the participation of Uzbek masters within the framework of this prestigious festival.
Parties agreed to continue cooperation in this area, jointly address organizational matters related to the participation of Uzbek masters in the events of “London Craft Week” and take the necessary measures for its implementation.
“London Craft Week” is an annual international festival held in London dedicated to traditional crafts, contemporary design, and high craftsmanship. The festival features exhibitions, workshops, presentations in open studios, lectures, and other events. In 2026, events were organized within the framework of the festival with the participation of more than 200 partners from 35 countries. They were attended by over 1,000 artisans and representatives of creative professions, with the total number of visitors reaching approximately 250,000 people.
