АSHGABAT, January 30. /Dunyo IA/. A briefing on the content and significance of the “Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event brought together representatives from Turkmenistan’s expert and analytical communities, the public and the media.
During the briefing, participants were provided with information on the key provisions of the strategy, its priority areas, established goals and achievements to date.
It was noted that the “Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy, adopted on September 11, 2023, serves as the main programmatic document aimed at ensuring the country’s sustainable medium- and long-term development. The strategy outlines 100 objectives across five priority areas, with a central focus on the individual, their dignity, rights and legitimate interests.
The briefing emphasized that, so far, the implementation of the strategy has yielded positive results, including economic growth, reduced unemployment and poverty levels and increased investment and export potential.
At the same time, it was noted that ongoing global geopolitical and economic changes, technological development, environmental factors, as well as domestic economic and demographic processes, have necessitated an update to the strategy. In line with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s Address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan on December 26, 2025, a draft of the revised “Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy for 2026-2030 has been prepared and submitted for public discussion.
The updated strategy is also intended to support the continuation of an open and constructive foreign policy based on the principle of a “safe and peaceful state” as well as to further strengthen regional cooperation, including strategic partnership with Turkmenistan.
