MAINZ, June 24. /Dunyo IA/.    Supported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main, a new compatriots' organization named “Do'ppi” has been formed to reinforce connections among Uzbek citizens living abroad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Association's launching ceremony was hosted at the Central Park in Mainz. In their remarks, Uzbek diplomatic officials underlined the vital role of safeguarding national customs and cultural legacy, deepening the diaspora's bonds with the motherland and boosting collaborative networking within the community.

Within the framework of the event, a cultural program was presented alongside a spread of traditional Uzbek national cuisine. Children engaged in various games and educational contests designed to familiarize them with the history, customs, and cultural heritage of the Uzbek nation.

Attendees emphasized that there is a strong demand for such initiatives, which help foster solidarity and mutual assistance within the community. Our fellow citizens voiced their eagerness to play an active role in executing the association's upcoming projects.

In the course of the event, the parties discussed plans for hosting cultural and educational initiatives in Mainz, featuring broad participation from the regional Uzbek diaspora, to commemorate the 35^th anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence.

Establishment of the “Do'ppi” organization marks another pivotal milestone in advancing compatriots' institutions abroad and consolidating the socio-cultural bonds of Uzbek citizens residing in Germany.
