Uzbek Artist's solo Exhibition “Time of Destiny” opens in Saint Petersburg

SAINT PETERSBURG, July 8. /Dunyo IA/.  Center of Book and Graphics in Saint Petersburg has proudly inaugurated “The Time of Destiny”, a solo exhibition by the distinguished Uzbek artist Jamshid Izbosarov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Grand opening ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries of the cultural and artistic intelligentsia, esteemed art historians and promising students from leading fine arts academies.

A native of the city of Navoiy, Jamshid Izbosarov possesses a profound academic foundation in the fine arts. He graduated with highest honours from the Benkov Tashkent Republican Art College, specializing in Sculpture, before advancing his academic pursuits at the Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Fine Arts and Design, where he earned his degree in Painting.

Artist's high professional standing within his homeland is firmly established by a series of critically acclaimed solo exhibitions hosted at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Furthermore, his masterworks have attained international exposure, having been successfully showcased across prominent cultural venues in the Russian Federation, including Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Comprising abstract paintings created over the past three years, Jamshid Izbosarov’s solo exhibition is structurally curated into two distinct thematic segments: a cycle of works conceived in his native city of Navoiy, and pieces produced during his residence in Saint Petersburg. This conceptual framework offers an insightful trajectory of the artist’s evolving creative methodology as shaped by shifting geographical and cultural contexts.

Following the vernissage, participants highly commended the author's professional mastery and the conceptual depth of the exhibits. They further emphasized that such initiatives not only enrich the vibrant cultural landscape of Saint Petersburg but also serve as a vital mechanism for reinforcing humanitarian ties and fostering intercultural dialogue.

Exhibition remains open to the public until July 15th, 2026.
