Products from Andijan region of Uzbekistan presented in Vitebsk

• 22VITEBSK, August 6. /Dunyo IA/. Products manufactured in the Andijan region were presented in Vitebsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was attended by representatives of retail enterprises and business circles of the Vitebsk region of Belarus.
As Utkirbek Mamurov, Governor of Marhamat District of Andijan Region in Vitebsk, explained, following the meeting between Presidents of Belarus and Uzbekistan, economic and trade ties between the two countries have significantly intensified, including at the regional level. Considerable progress has already been made within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Andijan and Vitebsk regions. In particular, an Uzbek trade house has been opened in the city on the Dvina, with its shelves constantly replenished with new goods that are in high demand among the residents of the Vitebsk region.
During the presentation, videos were screened highlighting the operations of large industrial clusters engaged in furniture and textile manufacturing. Notably, about one-third of the total output of these industries in Uzbekistan is produced precisely in the Andijan region.
Andijan is also widely renowned for its fruits and vegetables. In the near future, it is planned to launch supplies of vitamin-rich fruit and vegetable products from the Andijan region to the Vitebsk region.
Participants of the meeting discussed prospects for expanding business cooperation, strengthening partnerships, and increasing the volume of sales of Uzbek products through the retail trade networks of Belarus.
