SEOUL, April 7. /Dunyo IA/. World Association of Youth of Uzbekistan is implementing the WAYU WOMEN social project in the Republic of Korea, aimed at providing comprehensive support to Uzbek women living and studying abroad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The initiative focuses on providing moral, psychological, and social assistance to women and girls, as well as promoting their personal growth and successful adaptation to a new socio-cultural environment. The project’s central concept is the formation of a resilient mutual support community, within which participants collaboratively find solutions to pressing issues and develop professional and life skills.
Particular emphasis is placed on overcoming language barriers, employment, legal protection, as well as psychological well-being and social integration. The organizers note that many female citizens of Uzbekistan abroad face a range of challenges, including insufficient language proficiency, difficulties in job seeking, and risks of social isolation.
To provide a systemic solution to these issues, a comprehensive set of activities is being implemented within the WAYU WOMEN framework: regular meetings, educational seminars, mentorship programs, and networking sessions involving specialists from various fields. Counseling support on employment, education and day-to-day adaptation is also provided.
Psychological assistance occupies a significant place in the project's activities. Participants are provided with the opportunity to receive individual consultations aimed at overcoming stress and strengthening emotional resilience.
Additionally, a digital platform has been launched on Telegram - WAYU WOMEN Bot (@WAYU_WOMEN_BOT) - allowing users to anonymously seek support and access essential information, including contacts for emergency services and specialized consulting resources.
The project is actively developing its information outreach by distributing valuable content via social media and media platforms, including podcasts and educational materials.
Project’s founder Iroda Andarkulova, stated:
- One of the primary reasons for creating WAYU WOMEN was the recent tragic loss of one of our compatriots. At that time, we reflected on why such issues remain at the level of discussion without reaching practical solutions. We concluded that concrete actions were necessary. If stress and psychological pressure in a new environment lead to critical conditions, it means that systemic support must be established. This was the precise purpose behind the creation of this project.
Our primary objective is to support women and girls, provide moral and educational assistance, and help them build confidence as they embark on a new chapter in their lives.
Compatriot Mohinur Abdunabieva:
- The words at the bottom of the logo – “Connect, Heal, Inspire, Empower, Glow” - reflect the project’s core values and its mission to unite, support, inspire, and empower women.
According to the participants, the implementation of WAYU WOMEN enhances the social protection of Uzbek women abroad and fosters an active, cohesive community that contributes to the development of humanitarian ties and the strengthening of Uzbekistan’s positive image on the international stage.
