ANKARA, January 30. /Dunyo IA/. Ilyas Demirci, Secretary General of the Union of Turkish World Engineers and Architects, shared his assessment with Dunyo Information Agency on the outcomes of the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey:

-  Uzbek-Turkish relations are developing at an unprecedented pace. In my view, a bright star is rising in Asia - a crescent stretching from Samarkand, Tashkent and Bukhara to Ankara and Istanbul.

The cultural renaissance inspired by the Jadid movement represents a powerful initiative aimed at nurturing the unique features of Turkic thought and science. Uzbekistan shines as this star of Asia, boldly advancing into the future while honouring its past, instilling meaningful values in its youth and progressing at the speed of light. Today, it stands not only as a center of development but also as the spiritual capital and heart of Turkic-Islamic culture and civilization.

Over the 35 years since Uzbekistan gained independence and particularly in the last decade, reforms guided by wisdom, political foresight and deep statecraft have created a modern, transparent and progressive governmental system. This system serves as an example not only for the Uzbek people but also for the broader Turkic world and the international community.

Territorial planning, urban development and city modernization projects have been completed; “smart cities” have been built; roads, bridges, engineering facilities and educational institutions have been established. The institution of mahalla, the cornerstone of society, has been further strengthened through the declaration of the “Year of Mahalla and Society Development”.

One can confidently say that President Mirziyoyev will enter history as a great statesman and national leader whose ten years of leadership have achieved results spanning centuries.

As the Union of Turkish World Engineers and Architects, we have proclaimed a series of years dedicated to the sacred memory of the great descendant of Amir Timur, who conquered the Earth with his sword and the scholar Mirzo Ulugbek, who conquered the heavens and the Milky Way with his pen.

Uzbekistan has a national leader. Uzbekistan has a hardworking and devoted people. We consider the Uzbek people our brothers. We also recognize the respected President of Uzbekistan as our President.

Therefore, we proudly support the teams of engineers who have achieved great successes in your country and across the Turkic world, advancing unity in language, thought and labour.

We firmly believe that Uzbekistan will continue to rise and secure an even higher place in the history of the peoples of the world.
