STEINBACH-HALLENBERG, August 26. /Dunyo IA/. Young Uzbek citizens undergoing vocational training in the German state of Thuringia have taken second place at an international football tournament, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The competition was organized by the Government of Thuringia, the administration of Steinbach-Hallenberg and the South Thuringian Chamber of Industry and Commerce for foreign participants in the dual vocational training program “Ausbildung.”

Teams from 10 countries took part in the tournament. The Uzbek team reached the final, where the winner was determined by a penalty shootout. As a result, the Uzbek team finished in second place.

As part of the event, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan also met with fellow citizens who study and work in Germany.

The sides discussed vocational training and working conditions, everyday life, as well as issues related to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens.

In addition, meetings were held with representatives of the Thuringian administration, SPA Academia, companies and organizations in the region. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in vocational education, workforce training and labour migration.

The German side positively assessed the interest of Uzbek youth in vocational training, as well as their discipline and hard work.
