The two-day Uzbek-French summit at the highest level in Samarkand has ended

TASHKENT, November 3. /«Dunyo» IA/. The fruitful Uzbekistan – France Summit has ended, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.



According to the press service of the Head of state, during the two-day stay of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, several joint events took place in ancient and beautiful Samarkand.


On November 1, the heads of state met at Registan Square and walked together through Samarkand at night, also visiting the "Eternal City" Park.


High-level talks were held in contracted and expanded formats, following which the leaders agreed to bring interstate relations to the level of strategic partnership. A Joint Statement was adopted, and several intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents were signed.


The heads of state took part in the opening of a joint Business Forum with the participation of representatives of leading French companies and banks.


The Presidents planted a tree together in the Samarkand Congress Center and got acquainted with the exhibition of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The opening of a branch of the French Alliance in Samarkand took place.


The delegation of France got acquainted with the historical and architectural pearls of Samarkand with great interest.


Following the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev saw off President Emmanuel Macron at the airport. The heads of state bade a warm farewell to each other.
