SAINT PETERSBURG, October 16. /Dunyo IA/. With the assistance of the General Consultate of Uzbekistan, a videoconference was held between the Ministry of Sport of our country and the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Saint Petersburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was also attended by representatives of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Marathon and the ProRun.Uz project.

In the course of the meeting, major running projects of Uzbekistan - Samarkand Marathon and Tashkent Half Marathon were presented.

First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Saint Petersburg Vladimir Fatsievich-Slinchenko expressed readiness for cooperation with Uzbekistan and announced the intention to send a delegation of local runners to participate in sports events in our country.

Following the meeting, parties agreed to exchange plans for holding sports events for 2027.
