ТАSHKENT, October 21. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “Wosune Food Ingredients Karshi”, an enterprise located in the “Kashkadarya” Free Economic Zone, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, new facility specializes in processing locally grown fruits and vegetables into high-value products for export to international markets.

Established with an investment of $8.5 million from the U.S. company “Wosune International Inc.”, the enterprise has created 150 permanent jobs.

Facility uses convection drying technology to process carrots, bell peppers, pumpkins, apples, green onions, spinach and various herbs, preserving their natural flavour and nutritional value. Thirty per cent of the production process is automated using robotic systems.

Finished ingredients are supplied to manufacturers of instant foods, seasonings, canned goods and cosmetics. The products are exported to Russia, Europe and other CIS countries, with plans to increase annual exports to $40 million.

To expand its supply of raw materials, the company plans to establish direct partnerships with local farms across the region.

President inspected the production process and examined the finished products.
